The Uptown Farmers Market began its inaugural season in Spring 2020 in the heart of Uptown Charlotte. As a 501(c)(3), we rely on corporate sponsors to achieve the Market’s mission.

The Market’s vendors are producer-only, ensuring the highest quality of local farm produce, pasture-raised meats, and hand-crafted artisan foods. Every Saturday morning the Market provides a vibrant family-friendly setting that includes local musicians, children’s arts and education activities, and cooking demos from professional chefs. The Market runs senior shuttles to area apartment communities and is a USDA SNAP retailer, providing Double Bucks weekly due to funding from Mecklenburg County, and Triple Bucks monthly due to the generosity of our corporate sponsors.  Through the Market’s Community Table Fund, remaining produce is purchased from the farmers at the end of each market and donated to Nourish Up’s food pantries. Together, we can strengthen the local food network and ensure that it enhances the health of all in our community.
